Here is who will officially be on the ballot for city council, mayor, and school committee in the City of Fall River

With the deadline passing, here are the candidates who have officially filed nomination papers and will be on the ballot for city council, mayor, and school committee in the City of Fall River, according to Ryan Lyons, Chairman & Director, Chief Elections Official at the Board of Elections Dept.

The race for mayor is headed to a preliminary election where the two winners will face off in the Municipal Election.

The Fall River City Council will see at least one new member as Leo Pelletier will not be running for re-election. There will be a Preliminary Election for City Council and the top 18 of 19 will advance to the Municipal Election.

The School Committee will also see at least one new member with current committee member Paul Hart running for city council. There will not be a preliminary election for School Committee as there were not enough candidates.

The candidate lottery to determine ballot placement for the Preliminary Election will take place on Tuesday, July 25th.

The Municipal Preliminary Election will take place on September 19th with the Municipal Election scheduled for November 7th.

    Wow, what an exiting cast of political luminaries. Fall River is set to become a 15 minute city. Can’t want to pay for the 1/2 billion dollar city budget coming by 2025. Soon the City of Fall River will be a 50% equity partner in all Private properties. This will allow the city to borrow against their equity share in your property and will allow you to hold a piece of the debt directly. Things are looking up. All Hail Fall River Government…
