Governor Healey, Lieutenant Governor Driscoll, to visit UMass Dartmouth, discuss climate
BOSTON – On Tuesday, Governor Maura T. Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kimberley Driscoll will visit UMass Dartmouth to learn more about the school’s work around climate sustainability and how it relates to the administration’s climate, education, and economic and workforce development goals.
UMass Dartmouth has been named one of the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges for 11 years in row.
Healey’s Office stated that the college has upgraded 22,000 outdated light bulbs to high-efficiency bulbs over the past few years, reducing emissions by 3%. They also developed one of the first Carbon Reduction Plans in the state and recently sent a student to the North Pole as part of an international team collecting oceanographic data around the Arctic Ocean.
In addition to Governor Healey and Lieutenant Governor Driscoll, cabinet secretaries, local officials, Chancellor Mark Fuller, UMass Dartmouth administrators, faculty and students will also be attending the roundtable discussion.

What a farce. What happened to the windmill the University installed ? That thing stood still more than a statue. It sputtered oil sometimes. Killed a few birds. We have the fastest acceleration of temperatures in the history of the Earth and scientists can easily prove humans are causing it. I guess none of them have children or they don’t care about their children. I take it they’re all poor and struggling because and not bright enough to have a career.
