Four injured in Fall River rollover crash that damaged five cars, light pole, guardrail

A crash in Fall River on Sunday evening caused quite a bit of damage and multiple injuries.

According to Detective John Robinson, at approximately 9:10 p.m., a 2017 Nissan Rogue occupied by six females was traveling southbound on Davol Street. According to witnesses, the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed, then left the roadway, struck a guard rail, and rolled over striking five parked vehicles in a parking lot near 200 Davol Street in the area of Heritage State Park. A light pole was also damaged in the crash.

Of the six female occupants, a 27 year old from New York, a 24 year old from New Jersey, a 22 year old from Texas and a 22 year old from Fall River were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The operator of the vehicle, a 24 year old from Somerset, will be summoned to court to answer to charges of Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

The operator, as well as the sixth occupant, declined medical treatment at the scene.
