FRPD arrest Fall River man on Fentanyl trafficking charges

A Fall River man was arrested last week on drug related charges.

According to Detective John Robinson, on Thursday August 8th, Detectives from The Fall River Police Departments Vice and Intelligence Unit were on pre-search warrant surveillance at 601 Warren Street Fall River. The target of the search warrant was Neftaly Arroyo-Gomez, 19, of 601 Warren Street #3R Fall River.

Lead Detective Joshua Robillard was assisted by Detective Lieutenant Greg Wiley, Detective Sergeant William Falandys, and Detectives Bryan Custadio, Heather Moniz, Richard Aguiar, Kwin Silva, Matthew Mendes, Guy Furtado, and Gregory Homen.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Detectives knocked at the residence and announced their presence and purpose. After getting no answer on multiple occasions, FRPD noticed the door was unlocked. Detectives entered and announced their presence and purpose. Located within the apartment were the target, Arroyo-Gomez, and seven other people.

Located in Arroyo-Gomez’s bedroom were 26.3 grams of suspected Fentanyl, sandwich baggies, a digital scale, Inositol powder, and a large sum of cash. All items were confiscated.

Arroyo-Gomez was taken into custody on a charge of Trafficking in 18 grams or more of Class A Substance (Fentanyl)
