Fireworks, festival, parade scheduled for Freetown

Fourth of July festivities are set for the town of Freetown.
According to the Freetown Parade & Fireworks Committee, the fireworks are scheduled to take place on July 3rd and are planned to start around 9:45 p.m. at Hathaway Park on Water Street in Assonet (near the Assonet Inn).
The festival starts at 6 p.m. on July 3rd at the same location. The festival will include booths with food and some games for kids.
The parade will take place on July 4th. Lineup begins at 9 a.m. at the KRR baseball fields on Narrows Road, opposite Independence Harbor. Vehicles, floats, etc., should enter the lineup via the Narrows Road Bypass off South Main Street near Stop & Shop. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Copicut Road and proceeding north along South Main Street, left onto Water Street, and concluding at Hathaway Park.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS
At 6:30 p.m. on July 3rd the following traffic pattern will be implemented:
Elm St.: One way east from Mill St. to Walnut St.
Mill St (Rt. 79): One way south from Walnut St. to Elm St.
North Main St.: One way north from Assonet Center to Pleasant St.
Pleasant St.: Closed to all traffic @ 6:00 p.m.
Walnut St.: One-way north from Elm St. to Richmond Rd.
Water St. Closed to all traffic @ 6:00 p.m.
The following roads will be temporarily closed during the parade:
South Main St.
Copicut Rd.
Elm St. @ South Main St.
High St. @ South Main St.
Narrows @ South Main St.
North Main St. @ South Main St.
Ridge Hill d. @ South Main St.
Rt. 24 ramps @ South Main St.
Water St.
The Lane @ South Main St.
Simpson Lane @ South Main St.
