A fire ripped through a Fall River home Monday afternoon causing extensive damage.

A call came into dispatch just before 3:10 p.m. for a couch on fire at 21 Marchand Street.

Upon arrival, crews found fire and smoke showing from the first and second floor of the multi-family residence.

Two occupants were in the home at the time of the fully involved two-alarm blaze, one of which was transported to the hospital.
