Fire Department: Driver taken to the hospital after crash on Route 79
A Friday night crash in frigid temperatures resulted in one person being taken to a hospital.
Fire Department personnel responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 79 and Crooked Lane in Lakeville.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, the occupant was injured when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The patient was transported to Morton Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be serious.
Firefighters were occupied with a behavioral emergency at the time of the crash. A recall was transmitted and call back firefighters responded to the accident.
Lakeville Ambulance 2, Engine 1, Car 2, and Car 1 responded to the scene and the crash is under investigation.
