CES MMA returns to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT with a special world championship doubleheader.

Headlining the card on Friday, May 3rd is 13-time UFC veteran Charles “Boston Strong” Rosa (16-8), who takes on Josh “Hook On” Harvey (8-2-1) for the vacant CES MMA Lightweight Championship.

Rosa is a perfect 6-0 with CES MMA and was 2-0 in 2023. The fighting pride of Peabody, MA was last in the CES MMA cage in October, when he completely dominated and submitted Jonathan “The Junkyard Dog” Gary with a guillotine choke in 2 rounds. In his way stands Maine’s Harvey, who has fought almost exclusively with New England Fights (NEF), going 8-1 with the promotion before stepping up for his first world title shot.

In the co-feature, UFC and PFL veteran Yorgan DeCastro (9-5) battles Kevin “King Kevi” Sears (9-7) for the vacant CES MMA Heavyweight World title. “The Mad Titan,” a Cape Verdean native fighting out of Fall River, MA, made his pro debut with CES MMA and is undefeated with the company in his 6 appearances. The 36-year-old last fought in February, where he dominated Spencer Manovich in a grappling match at CES MMA 76. Across the cage is Sears, a 37-year-old out of Denver, CO with a strong wrestling background and a powerful punch to match.

Several other bouts will be announced over the coming weeks.

As of Monday, the event is almost sold out. The card will be broadcast on Swerve Combat.
