Fall River’s Forever Paws Animal Shelter’s “Freya” and “Atreaus” are looking for forever homes

Please take a minute to say hello to Freya and Atreaus!

These beautiful siblings are 22 months old and are looking for a new start-together. They are purebred Akitas that were purchased from a breeder by a family with the hopes of having a bonded pair of dogs for their family. Unfortunately, this breed is not for everyone, and two large, high energy pups were too much for them at once. These two did complete a board and train program, but at the end of it, the owner felt it was in the best interest of the dogs to be rehomed.

Now they are with us. They are absolutely amazing, Atreaus is the male, he is the larger and lighter of the two and Freya is the female, the darker smaller pup. They are bonded to each other and we do not want to separate them. They rely on each other and are always together. They have lost so much already we do not want them to lose each other!

Atreaus and Freya will need a family that owns their home, has no kids under 12, experience with large breed dogs and no other animals. There will be no exception to this.
