Fall River’s COVID-19 death count increases to 121 according to Wednesday report

Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s report.

The City received a report of 4 new cases, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River increase to 1,889.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River rose to 121 as the City was informed of another fatality.

Thursday saw 3 additional COVID-19 cases. Friday added 2 new cases. 4 cases of COVID-19 were reported over the weekend. On Tuesday, 3 more cases were announced.

Massachusetts sees increase in hospitalizations Tuesday, 12 reported dead, positive test rate remains 1.1%.

The City continues to encourage residents to practice social distancing. This means keeping a distance of 6ft between individuals. Continue to wash your hands on a regular basis, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and stay home as much as possible, especially when you are sick, and wear a face covering when out in public. These measures will help to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The City wants to remind residents that Government Center Reopened to the Public on June 8 by appointment only.
 Appointments from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday – Thursday
 Closed to the public on Fridays, Weekends, and Holidays
