Fall River Public Library, 104 North Main Street in Fall River, will team with FEMA Region 1 to present an emergency preparedness program, “Until Help Arrives: You Are the Help!”, on Tuesday, April 24 from 2-4 p.m. This free training, prepared by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), Region 1, will teach participants the basic lifesaving skills they need to keep people with life-threatening injuries alive until professional help arrives.
If you witness a disaster or accident, calling 911 is the first priority. But what can you do until first responders arrive? This hands-on training for all experience levels will teach simple skills that could save a life.
