Victims were targeted, condition of victims updated in Fall River shooting
Fall River Police are still investigating an overnight shooting.
According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, on Sunday, October 27, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Fall River Police were dispatched to the area of 164 Tremont Street for a report of multiple shots fired in the area.
Further information was gathered by the victims, who also called 911, and Officers were able to find the victims of the shooting in a vehicle on Columbia Street.
Officers also responded to the area of 164 Tremont Street and located nine 7.62 caliber shell casings.
According to Detective John Robinson, the shooting was not a random act; it was a targeted incident with the shooter and all victims placing themselves in that area at that time.
Three adult victims, two males and a female, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment. They are in serious but non-life threatening condition.
Robinson stated that as of 11:30 a.m., the victims are reported to be in stable condition.
