Fall River Police update shooting incident, possible new location suspected

Fall River Police are currently investigating a shooting that left a man injured.

According to Detective John Robinson, at 3:51 p.m. Monday, FRPD officers responded to St. Anne’s Hospital in response to a 31-year-old male with a bullet wound to his arm.

The victim walked to St Anne’s and was observed by St Anne’s Hospital security walking west on Middle Street from Second toward the hospital.

Detectives and uniformed officers responded to the Tremont Street area in a possible connection to this incident. According to Robinson, the Tremont Street area is now currently not an area of concern.

At this time, investigators believe the shooting may have taken place in the Plymouth Avenue and Lyon Street area. The 31 year old victim claims to not be familiar with the area.

At this time the victim will be transferred to a R.I. Hospital for further treatment.

At this time it is an open and ongoing investigation.
