Fall River police officer receives National Servant Officer Award
A Fall River police officer that has previously been recognized for his community work has been recognized once again.
According to the Fall River Police Department, Ofc. Frank Andrade has been named “Servant Officer of the Week” by the Leaders Helping Leaders Network (LHLN). LHLN offers police training nationwide on creating the modern police officer, “one who has the mindset of a warrior and the heart of a servant.” This training is being offered to members of the department through the Massachusetts Police Training Council.
Ofc. Andrade was recognized for assisting an elderly city resident to a food pantry. His actions were witnessed by another city resident who posted what she had seen on Facebook.
Fall River Reporter featured the story involving Andrade which led to recognition from the Chief.
Andrade who is a former Platoon Sergeant in the Marines, is no stranger to the Fall River community as he is also the Unit Commander for the Fall River Young Marines and is a volunteer at Project Reconnect which goes to the homes of addicts who have recently overdosed to see if they are interested in treatment.
