Fall River Police issue update on Tuesday Fall River bank robbery
Fall River Police are continuing to investigate a Tuesday bank robbery in the city.
According to Detective John Robinson, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a panic alarm was received from Webster Bank located at 1450 Plymouth Avenue.
On arrival, officers were told a Hispanic looking male approximately 5 foot tall entered the bank and approached a teller and passed a note. The teller complied with the note.
At this time it is believed that there was no mention of a weapon, but the investigation is ongoing.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken in the robbery.
Robinson stated that the suspect fled toward Slade Street and Rhode Island Avenue, then over towards Dwelly Street.
