Fall River Police investigating after woman and man injured in afternoon shooting

A woman and man were injured after an afternoon shooting Wednesday in Fall River.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 1:50 p.m., units were dispatched to the 100 block of John St. after the Department received multiple calls for service in this area regarding a male who had reportedly been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located a male and female, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest area.

Both parties were transported to local hospitals for immediate medical attention.

Their status is unknown.

Pereira stated that the investigation is extremely active.

    Is this Fall River of Dorchester? So many shootings lately. This city is getting worst by the day

    As long as the people shooting/getting shot we don’t need to be concerned. That’s the official FRPD line.

    The FBI needs to come in and clean the house. Hawes, Custodia, Pesoa, drugs vanishing, etc. These are just the things that make it to the papers. Internally I can’t even imagine what’s going on.
