Fall River Police investigating after one injured from multiple gunshot wounds in afternoon shooting
Fall River Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting with injuries.
According to police, at just after 12:15 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Locust Street.
Several shell casings were located in the area of the incident.
18-year-old killed from injuries sustained in afternoon shooting in Fall River
Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira stated that upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper extremities. The male was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital for immediate medical attention.
This matter is currently under investigation by the Major Crimes Division and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. The Fall River Police Department has activated additional units as part of a post incident impact team to increase presence in areas affected by this incident.
