Fall River Police investigating after evening shooting near city park

Authorities are investigating a shots fired incident that took place on Wednesday.

A report came in for a possible shooting in the area of Abbott Court at approximately 6:00 p.m.

According to Acting Chief J.T. Hoar, the shooting occurred on Birch Street.

There were no injuries but there was property damage discovered.

The Major Crimes Division is actively investigating.
