Fall River Fire Department extinguishes multi-family blaze, responders care for multiple pets

The Fall River Fire Department extinguished a blaze at a multi-family home on Wednesday.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a call came into dispatch for smoke showing from the 2nd floor of 32 Dussault Street, a three-story residence.

All occupants reportedly evacuated from the building.

Upon arrival, crews discovered that smoke was indeed coming from the 2nd floor.

Utilities were shut off and the building inspector and fire investigator were called to the scene. Animal Control was also requested to care for 1 dog and 1 cat.

The fire was out at approximately 6:30 p.m.
