Fall River Police are investigating after a man was reportedly robbed, beaten, and stabbed early Monday.

According to Lieutenant Antonio Elumba, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Fall River Police personnel responded to St. Anne’s Hospital Emergency Room regarding a patient who arrived there with stab wounds.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 20-year-old man who reported having been confronted on the street (exact location unclear) by a group of masked individuals. The victim described being beaten and robbed of his shoes and wallet. Afterward, he realized he had sustained multiple puncture wounds to one of his legs. He was subsequently able to get a ride to the hospital for treatment.
