Fall River native set to return to the UFC octagon after 2-year absence
A Fall River native is set to make her long-awaited return to the octagon.
After taking time away from the fight game to have her daughter Alayah with wife and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Raquel Pennington, Tecia (Torres) Pennington will make her return on May 11th at UFC Fight Night in St. Louis, Missouri.
Pennington last fought in a controversial split decision loss to Mackenzie Dern at UFC 273 on April 9th, 2022, in Jacksonville Florida. She had won her previous 3 fights before that loss.
“The Tiny Tornado” will take her 13-6 record into a strawweight battle against 9-2 Tabatha “Baby Shark” Ricci.
Several fights have already been scheduled on the card including main event Matt Frevola vs Michael Johnson.
