A Fall River native who passed away this week won’t see his 40th birthday, but his final act has given five other people a second chance at life.

Carlo Lewis, a beloved husband to Christina and father to their two young sons, Theo, 4, and Chase, just 5 months old, died after a sudden and severe illness.

A close friend described Lewis as “an amazing son, brother, husband, father, and nephew. He was always the life of the party. He could make anyone smile. He made friends anywhere he went. He was the one you called when you needed something. He would give his last to anyone who needed it, and he was always laughing and made us all laugh. He was a hardworking man who loved his family. His kids were his world. He was a man who could talk to anyone about anything. Having conversations with him was so easy. He was a kind, loving, and caring person.”

In his final days, Lewis was able to donate his organs, helping five people.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to support his wife Christina with immediate expenses, everyday living costs, and the future needs of Theo and Chase.
