A Fall River and former Swansea man who gave decades of service in various capacities has died.
72-year-old George Giguere passed away on Saturday.
According to an obituary, George was a volunteer in the Swansea Fire Department and later worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for many years in the Fall River Fire Department.
“He was the past exalted ruler of the Fall River Elks Lodge, and President of the Somerset Bocce League. George also served on the Board of Directors for the Bristol County Veterans Association and Lead Organizer for the Soap Box Derby in many communities.”
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 14th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service at 1:00 PM in the Auclair Funeral Home at 690 South Main St. Fall River.
