Fall River loses one death in Thursday’s COVID-19 report

Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s report.

The City saw 8 new cases in today’s report, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River increase to 1,766.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River drops to 116 as one death previously attributed to Fall River has been identified as incorrect.

It was reported on Friday that 11 more cases hit Fall River. Saturday revealed 7 more cases. Sunday saw 4 more. On Monday, 1 new case was added, however, 1 case was also removed. Tuesday, 7 new cases were reported. 15 additional cases were reported on Wednesday.

The City continues to encourage residents to practice social distancing. This means keeping a distance of 6ft between individuals. Continue to wash your hands on a regular basis, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and stay home as much as possible, especially when you are sick, and wear a face covering when out in public. These measures will help to limit the spread of COVID-19.
