Fall River and Providence Police combine to seize drugs, gun, cash which led to arrest

A local man is facing several charges after two police departments combined to seize, drugs, a gun, and cash.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Thursday, while working in collaboration with the Providence Police Department Narcotics Bureau, FRPD Vice, Gang, and Intelligence Unit seized 1950 blue glassine bags containing approximately 39 grams of fentanyl and $518 in cash from 27-year-old Ronny Llenas-Pichardo of Providence, Rhode Island.

The Providence Police Department would later seize an additional 182.32 grams of fentanyl, a Draco 7.62 caliber firearm, and other materials consistent with packaging and distribution of narcotics at his residence in Rhode Island.

Llenas-Pichardo is charged in Fall River with Trafficking 36 grams of fentanyl, and two counts of distribution of a class a drug. He faces additional charges in the state of Rhode Island for narcotics and firearms related offenses.

Perreira cited the combined efforts of both departments.

“This case is another representation of the effectiveness of multi-jurisdictional and interstate partnerships, in disrupting the flow of illegal narcotics and recovering firearms from those who are not licensed to possess them.”
