Driver injured after deer and vehicle collide, animal goes through windshield on Route 495
A woman driver was lucky and unlucky at the same time on Tuesday.
According to the Plainville Firefighter Union, Plainville along with Wrentham Firefighters got dispatched to Route 495 North just north of Route 1 for a vehicle that struck a deer.
Companies arrived to find the deer had struck the vehicle and went through the windshield and landed inside the driver’s compartment.
According to firefighters, luckily the driver was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.
