Driver cited, Somerset man seriously injured in Westport motorcycle crash
A motorcycle rider was seriously injured, and a driver was cited after a crash this week in Westport.
According to Detective Sergeant Bryan McCarthy, on Monday, Westport Police and Fire responded to 291 American Legion Highway for a motor vehicle crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Alfred Alexander of Somerset, was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital, Trauma Unit.
The operator of the pickup truck, Douglas Brown of Westport, was issued a citation.
Friends of Alexander have asked for prayers for his recovery.
Westport Police had no further comment on the incident.
