Driver cited, 20-year-old woman taken to the hospital after Fall River pedestrian crash
A woman was transported to the hospital and a driver was cited after a Thursday evening pedestrian crash.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Walgreens, 328 Rhode Island Avenue, regarding a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
Officer Glen MacDonald determined through his investigation that a 20-year-old woman had been struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross the street, while utilizing the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital for medical evaluation. The operator of the pickup truck, a 75-year-old, Rhode Island resident was issued a citation for failing to yield to the pedestrian in the cross walk.
