Local high school students are once again making young, sick children’s dreams come true.

Each year, Bryant students come together to manage an on-campus event called Project Playhouse. Project Playhouse is a non-profit organization that runs through Rosemary’s Wish Kids Inc, where local vocational high schools build dream playhouses for children with life-threatening illnesses.

According to Katie Conklin, who is a sophomore at Bryant University and involved in the event, the group is very excited to be holding this event in person again this year, in celebration of their 6th annual Project Playhouse Reveal.

The event is made possible by Navigant Credit Union, Target, Bishop Hendricken, and McGraw Hill Education.

Warwick Area Career and Technical Center, Chariho Career and Tech Center, Newport Area Career and Technical Center, and Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School are currently building beautiful and detailed playhouse to brighten the lives of ill children.

As of last April, Project Playhouse has given away over 20 playhouses to deserving families and are looking to give away 4 more this year.

The schools and students that built the houses, the families receiving the houses, and sponsors will attend an event in the coming days to reveal the playhouses and give them to the rightful owners.
