Diman Regional announces top ten senior students of 2023

FALL RIVER – Here are the top 10 students of the senior class of 2023 at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Hannah Martin
Diman is proud to announce Fall River’s Hannah Martin, daughter of Kenneth Martin and Crystal Bielawa, as valedictorian for the Class of 2023. As a member of the Health Assisting program, Hannah has been able to focus her studies on medicine while at Diman. To this point, she has focused upon Cooperative Education, and has worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Whalers Cove Assisted Living in New Bedford. In addition to this accomplishment, Hannah has maintained high honors during all four years at Diman. She has been named Diman’s Massaschusetts Outstanding Vocational Student, is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, SkillsUSA, and DECA, participates in the student ambassador program, and is a three season athlete. Following graduation, Hannah intends to continue her work in the medical field, as she has been accepted into the University of New Hampshire’s Nursing program.

Kianna Prall
Diman is proud to announce Westport’s Kiana Prall, daughter of Mathew and Pamela Biltcliffe, as salutatorian for the Class of 2023. As a member of the Health Assisting program, Kianna has been able to focus her studies on medicine while at Diman. To this point, she has focused upon cooperative education and has worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Autumn Glen in Dartmouth. In addition to this accomplishment, Kianna has maintained high honors during all four years at Diman and is a member of the National Honor Society. Following graduation, Kianna intends to continue her education at the University of Southern Maine as an Environmental Science student.

Esther Medeiros
Esther Medeiros, daughter of Luiz Alves Medeiros and Maria doSocorro Marinho Gomes, will graduate as the third ranking student of Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Health Assisting program at Diman, Esther has actively participated in Diman’s Cooperative Education program. This opportunity has allowed her to work as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Catholic Memorial in Fall River, MA. While at Diman, Esther was a member of the Key Club, a student ambassador, a National Honor Society student, and a participant in SkillsUSA. This fall, Esther intends to enroll in University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where she will major in Nursing and eventually work towards becoming a nurse practitioner.

Savannah Santos
Savannah Santos, daughter of Joseph and Donna Santos, will graduate as the fourth ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the BusinessTechnology program, Savannah was able to successfully participate in the Cooperative Education program at Diman. This helped Savannah focus and further develop her career and vocational skills while working as a commercial lines assistant at John Andrade Insurance Agency in Bristol, RI. In addition to this placement, Savannah has acted as a student ambassador for Diman. She was president of the National Honor Society, the Business Technology program’s Outstanding Vocational Student, and a member of SkillsUSA. Savannah intends to further her education this fall by accepting enrollment into Bentley University where she will focus her studies upon Corporate Finance.

Olivia DeMelo (tie for 5th)
Olivia DeMelo, daughter of Antonio DeMelo and Donna Pavao, will graduate as the fifth ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Electricity program, Olivia engaged in hands-on vocational learning designed to help prepare her for college and career success. Part of this success can be attributed to her work within Diman’s Cooperative Education program, a program which placed Olvia at Granite City Electric Supply Company in Fall River as a warehouse associate. Additionally, while at Diman, Olivia was a member of the National Honors Society and DECA. She maintained high honors during all four years at Diman and was a Fall River Youth of the Year nominee in 2023, as well as the Electricity program’s Outstanding Vocational Student and a student athlete. Olivia intends to enroll in Wentworth Institute of Technology as an Mechanical Engineering student, while minoring in Aerospace.

Jillian Massaroco (tie for 5th)
Jillian Massaroco, daughter of Antonio and Neecole Massaroco, will also graduate as the fifth ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Business Technology program, Jillian was able to immerse herself in her vocational and career education. This led to successful participation in Diman’s Cooperative Education program where Jillian served as a legal assistant at D. Baker Law Group, P.C., in Fall River. In addition to this work, Jillian acted as the Key Club Secretary and Vice President of the National Honor Society. Following graduation, Jillian intends to enroll in Bridgewater State University where she will major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minor in Special Education.

Marcus Raposo
Marcus Raposo, son of John and Suzanna Raposo, will graduate as the seventh ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Health Assisting program, Marcus was able to participate in Diman’s Cooperative Education program and gain valuable vocational and career skills while still in high school. During this time, he worked as a medical assistant at Center for Eye Health in Fall River. Additionally, while at Diman, Marcus was able to focus upon several academic successes. Throughout his high school experience, he maintained high honors status, went on to become an AP student, joined the Key Club, and was a member of National Honor Society. Marcus intends to enroll in Roger Williams this fall as a Biology student.

Eliana Estrela
Eliana Estrela, daughter of Pedro and Julie Estrela, will graduate as Diman’s eighth ranking student in the Class of 2023. As a member of the Business Technology program, Eliana was able to participate in Diman’s Cooperative Education program. During her high school experience, she worked as a front desk receptionist at Design Ergonomics in Fall River where she was able to apply her vocational skills in a workplace setting. Additionally, while at Diman, Eliana has maintained her focus upon academics and extracurricular activities. This helped her to participate in both National Honor Society and Student Government. This fall, Eliana intends to enroll in the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Business program.

Hayley Aguiar
Hayley Aguiar, daughter of Vasco and Andrea Aguair, will graduate as the ninth ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Medical Assisting program, Hayley was able to participate in Diman’s Cooperative Education program where she worked as a medical assistant at Dermatology Services in Dartmouth. In addition to this placement, Hayley was able to excel in the academic areas. While at Diman, Hayley maintained high honors during all four years of her high school career. She was chosen as her vocational program’s Outstanding Vocational Student and was awarded the Fall River Police Department Axis Bat Award. Upon graduation, Hayley intends to enroll in the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in order to focus upon Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Abigayle Correia
Abigayle Correia, daughter of Louis and Kathryn Correia, will graduate as the tenth ranking student in Diman’s Class of 2023. As a member of the Business Technology program, Abigayle was able to focus upon her vocational skills within her Cooperative Education placement. While at Diman, Abigayle worked as a customer service representative at Design Ergonomics in Fall River. This helped her apply her trade in a real world setting. In addition to this work, Abigayle stayed active in her academic pursuits. While at Diman, she was a dual enrollment student, a student ambassador, a member of Key Club, a participant in Student Government, and a cheerleader. This fall, Abigayle intends to enroll in Clemson University as an Accounting and Finance major.
