Despite free testing sites, Fall River’s COVID-19 case count in single digits in Sunday report

Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Sunday’s report.

The City saw 4 cases in today’s report, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River increase to 1,736.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 114.

On July 8th, Governor Baker announced free testing sites for Fall River and also nearby New Bedford.

Monday’s report showed 5 additional cases in Fall River. On Tuesday, 7 more cases were announced. Both Wednesday and Thursday added 6 cases each of COVID-19. It was reported on Friday that 11 more cases hit Fall River. Saturday revealed 7 more cases.

The City continues to encourage residents to practice social distancing. This means keeping a distance of 6ft between individuals. Continue to wash your hands on a regular basis, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and stay home as much as possible, especially when you are sick, and wear a face covering when out in public. These measures will help to limit the spread of COVID-19.
