With a family facing tragedy, the Massachusetts community has come together in a big way.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, 33-year-old Shaun Lindmark of Billerica was up in Caribou, Maine snowmobiling with his best friends, doing what he loved, when tragedy struck the late evening of Friday January 19th. Lindmark died in what family stated was a sudden and freak snowmobiling accident.

Those who knew him say that Shaun was not just an incredible friend to all and the absolute best husband to wife Courtney, but he was also getting ready to be a dad with their first child due in June.

Lindmark would be the first one in line to help someone else no questions asked, which has led to many helping support his widow and soon to be born child.

The fundraiser has raised over $120,000 in just a few days, leaving family at a loss for words.

“Honestly at a loss for words. We hit our initial goal so quickly, and now thanks to all of you, we’ve reached the $100,000 mark! It’s just unbelievable – a true testament to the incredible impact Shaun had on all of us and the deep affection you hold for Shaun, Courtney and Baby Lindmark. It’s nothing short of amazing.”

Visiting hours are scheduled for Thursday, January 25, at Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, from 4-8 p.m. The graveside service will be on Friday, January 26, at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon.
