Cohasset police officer dies suddenly while with coworkers
A Massachusetts police officer has died suddenly.
Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley announced the sudden death of active Officer Mark Jenkins.
Mark was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division and worked as a police computer forensics expert for our department and the United States Coast Guard Investigative Service.
Mark collapsed while with coworkers late Friday afternoon. CPR and life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
Chief Quigley thank those who tried to save his officer.
“We thank the City of Quincy emergency services and the staff of the Carney Hospital for their heroic efforts to save our beloved Mark. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, they are also filled with love, as we help Mark’s wife and children with final arrangements. Please say a prayer for the Jenkins family.”
Chief Quigley stated that arrangements will be announced as soon as they are final.
