Berkley man charged with soliciting minor

On December 30th, the Lakeville Police Department conducted an investigation relating to an online solicitation. The investigation concluded that an individual was attempting communication with a minor child for purpose of sex. As a result of this investigation the following individual was arrested:
James Rego, 29, of 69 North Main St. Berkley was charged with the Pay for Sexual Conduct with Child Under 18, Resisting Arrest, and Operation of MV w Revoked License.
Upon police making contact with Rego, he fled on foot and was subsequently placed under arrest.
Rego will be arraigned in Wareham District Court on January 2nd 2018.
