Assonet man wins $1 million prize on New Bedford scratch ticket
An Assonet man’s luck recently improved after hitting big bucks on a scratch ticket.
Robert Burnham has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “The Fastest Road to $1 Million” instant ticket game.
Burnham chose the cash option for his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on using his winnings to buy a house and a truck.
His winning ticket was purchased at Dairy Market located at 4443 Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
