Al Mac’s On-The-Go Brings Organic Coffee to Fall River’s SouthCoast Market Place area

Al Mac’s On-The-Go is now serving Jim’s Organic coffee. It may sound insignificant, but it’s not.

Non-organic coffee is toxic, not only for the consumer but also for the coffee farmers. According to Equal Exchange: “Coffee is among the most heavily chemically treated foods in the world. It is steeped in synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides – a real mouthful with a bad taste. Not only does the environment suffer from this overload, but so do the people who live in it. Farmers are exposed to a high level of chemicals while spraying the crops and while handling them during harvest”

When my mother passed away from cancer, I read a book titled, ‘Anti-Cancer: A New Way of Life’ which opened my eyes to the toxicity of coffee. As a person who drinks two cups of coffee a day, I immediately switched to organic coffee. Places like Starbucks and Dunkin’ don’t use organic coffee, so having Al Mac’s On-The-Go switch to organic coffee gave me a spot in Fall River to get it. With Pink Bean closing in Fall River, it’s the only spot I know of that serves organic coffee is Fall River. Please let me know in the comments if you know of another spot!

Al Mac’s On-The-Go is not just using organic coffee, they are using Jim’s Organic Coffee which is located in Warham, Massachusetts so your money stays local. Also, while it’s called Al Mac’s On-The-Go, I did notice the upgrades inside with outlets for laptops and phones.

I’ve been told further upgrades are coming that will make Al Mac’s On-The-Go a great place to not only grab some food or coffee at the drive-thru but will also be a comfortable place to stay for work or to simply relax with a cup of organic Joe.
