A-1 Pub abruptly closes leaving workers unemployed near the holidays

Published

on

Update: We have been told by Johnathan Rousseau that A-1 is temporarily closed for management updates and decor / menu changes.

A well know Fall River establishment has abruptly closed their doors.

Employees of A-1 pub woke up Sunday morning to find out they were out of a job. Albeit possibly temporarily.

According to several employees at the eatery, a text message was sent out this morning notifying them that there is no manager and to file for unemployment. One text read “As of today we will no longer be open until management.”

The closure leaves those who were working at A-1 without a job as we approach the holidays.

It is unclear if the closure is temporary or permanent.

Contact to management thus far has been unsuccessful and the phone number at the location has been disconnected.

Some are reporting that the pub is going through ownership changes, but we have not been able to confirm.

Well, I’m sad to see this happen to the employees right before the Holidays. I’m hoping that new Management/Ownership honors the A1 Gift Certificates that people purchased or won at Monday Night Musical Bingo? That was such a GREAT night. Hoping that they get things turned around quickly.

Notice to all employees of A1 who are in need of work. Crowther’s Restaurant in Little Compton is hiring all positions FOH and BOH.
Please call or stop in for an application.
