Massachusetts State Lottery announces $1 million scratch ticket win for Bay State woman

Winning big money on the Massachusetts State Lottery isn’t easy, but when it happens, it is really sweet as it was for this Massachusetts woman.

Kathleen Benson of Weymouth is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” instant ticket game.

Benson chose the annuity option for her prize and received an initial lump sum payment of $50,000 for the first year’s winnings.

She purchased her winning ticket at Metro Convenience, 230 Bridge St. in North Weymouth. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
