UPDATE: Fall River Police investigating after 55-year-old man stabbed multiple times, 42-year-old woman shot in the head
Two people were injured after an incident Wednesday morning in Fall River.
According to Det. Lieutenant Moses Pereira, at just after 4:30 a.m., the Fall River Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Dickinson Street after receiving a report that a stabbing and shooting had occurred at this location.
Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old male who had sustained multiple stab wounds to the head and neck area. Officers were also directed to a 42-year-old woman inside of the home who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
Both parties were transported to local trauma centers for immediate medical attention. The man is currently listed in stable condition. The woman remains in critical condition.
Detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division and the State Police Detective Unit are currently investigating the incident.
