Two men kayaking in East Providence found deceased according to officials
Two men have been found dead after a water incident on Thursday.
According to Mayor Bob DaSilva, the East Providence Police and Fire responded to Omega Pond on a report of two missing kayakers.
One kayaker had been recovered deceased this morning. The second kayaker was located hours later.
According to multiple reports, family members alerted authorities that the two went kayaking together Thursday night and had not returned.
The pond is known to be a popular fishing and kayaking spot despite its murky water.
No other details were released.
