Names released of 18 and 19-year-old victims killed in Rhode Island crash
The names have been released of two teens that died from injuries sustained in a Rhode Island crash.
The Burrillville Police Department responded to a call for a sedan that had driven off of the road and crashed into a tree at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Lapham Farm Road.
According to ABC6, 19-year-old Andrew Long of Chepachet was the driver and was declared dead at the scene. 18-year-old Ariel Welch of Mapleville was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
The crash is still under investigation, however, police believe that speed was a factor.
