Three injured, two seriously, after weekend crash involving multiple motorcycles
Authorities are investigating after a motorcycle crash this past weekend that injured three people, two seriously.
According to LFD, The Lakeville Fire Department was dispatched to Bedford Street, in front of the Orchid of Hawaii for a motor vehicle crash just after midnight Sunday. Ambulance 3 and Engine 1 arrived to find two motorcycles down in the street.
A second ambulance was immediately requested, and Ambulance 2 was subsequently staffed by a recalled firefighter. Engine 2 would also respond, staffed with a callback firefighter.
Car 1 (Chief O’Brien) and Car 2 (DC Garant) responded to the accident scene. Car 2’s vehicle would be abandoned, as the Deputy was committed to patient care and transport.
A total of three adults were on the motorcycles when the crash occurred. Two adult males were transported to St. Lukes’s Hospital, both with potentially significant injuries. An adult female, who was on a motorcycle, did have what appeared to be minor injuries but refused prehospital medical care.
All Lakeville apparatus was back in town and available for the next call by 2:00 am.
