Fall River Police issue update on shooting that injured 15-year-old girl
Fall River Police have issued an update into the shooting this morning that injured a teenaged girl.
According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of Danforth Street. in response to reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers began canvassing the area for evidence to support the reports. While doing so, they were flagged down and escorted to a 15-year-old female who had sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm. The juvenile was later transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As the investigation continued, officers were able to locate several shell casings in the area where the incident was reported to have occurred. Detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division as well as the Crime Scene Unit responded to assist with the investigation.
At least 12 shell casings were found, according to a witness.
At this time no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the Major Crimes Division. Anyone with information is asked to contact the detectives at 508-324-2796. Anonymous tips can be provided by dialing 508-672-TIPS (8477).

Mayor useless assured us the streets were safer because of the gun-buy-back. Clowns. Odds are the young lady knows exactly who did this and won’t cooperate.
