Lakeville Police find missing 41-year-old woman suffering from medical issue
LAKEVILLE — Chief Matthew Perkins reports that the Lakeville Police Department and its mutual aid partners safely located a woman who had been reported missing earlier today.
At 5:35 a.m., Lakeville Police responded to a home on Cross Street for a report of a missing 41-year-old female.
Officers initiated a search of the area of Cross Street and Taunton Street, with support from the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) Search and Rescue, a SEMLEC drone, the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council’s mobile command post and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing.
The woman was safely located by Lakeville firefighters at 1:30 p.m., less than a mile away from where she had been reported missing.
She is believed to have experienced a medical issue that preceded her leaving the residence, though she was found uninjured. She has been transported to an area hospital via Lakeville Fire ambulance for evaluation.
