Massachusetts teen arrested after stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of LEGO at Target
A Massachusetts teen was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of LEGO.
According to Plainville Police, on Saturday, at about 6:00 p.m., Plainville Police were dispatched to Target, 91 Taunton Street, for a shoplifting in progress.
While enroute, officers were advised that the male suspect was stopped by Assets Protection in the vestibule after passing all points of purchase. The man then ran out the doors, and into the parking lot. A description of the male was given to the officers.

Officers arrived in the area, and Officer Leighton observed the man run across Taunton Street to Dunkin’ Donuts, where a vehicle was waiting for him. Officers Leighton and Higgins stopped the vehicle and were assisted by Officer Hodson.
Sgt Gallerani reviewed surveillance video with Target personnel and determined that the man who ran from the store had stolen over $700 in LEGO and other items, totaling over $880.00.
The man, identified as Sabbyjory Jean-Baptiste, 18, of Braintree, was placed under arrest, and transported to the police station for booking. He was charged with Shoplifting, was bailed out a few hours after his arrest, and will face arraignment at Wrentham District Court on Monday.
