MassDOT to inspect panels under Fall River City Hall on Route 195
FALL RIVER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will be conducting overnight safety inspections of ceiling panels located underneath Fall River City Hall over I-195 eastbound and westbound in Fall River. The work will take place on Sunday, March 6, and on Monday, March 7, during overnight hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
The work will require temporary overnight lane and shoulder closures as follows:
Alternating left and right lane closures and shoulder closures in the eastbound direction of I-195 on Sunday, March 6.
Alternating left and right lane closures and shoulder closures in the westbound direction of I-195 on Monday, March 7.
Standard temporary traffic control management operations will be utilized including various lane and shoulder closures and police details will be used. A minimum of two open travel lanes in each direction will be maintained at all times. Ramps and exits will remain open at all times.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
