Brockton woman suing Dunkin’ Donuts store owner, employees, over hot coffee
A Massachusetts woman has filed a lawsuit over burns and treatment she allegedly suffered due to hot coffee.
The Plaintiff, Angela Barbosa, of Brockton, is suing Cadete Enterprises, Inc. (owner of Brockton Dunkin’s donuts) and employees of the Dunkin’ Donuts location on Torrey Street.
According to the lawsuit, on June 22, 2020, between 8:30 and 9:00 PM., Barbosa was a front seat passenger in her sister’s car at the Brockton Dunkin Donuts drive-thru window. Barbosa and her sister ordered three hot coffees.
A Dunkin Donuts employee handed three hot coffees to Barbosa’s sister in a tray. The Dunkin Donuts employee reportedly failed to properly cap the coffees, or place them firmly into the tray, and as the tray was brought into the car, the coffees came loose and tipped over onto Barbosa, which scalded her legs and buttocks.
Screaming in pain, Barbosa was forced to rip off her leggings in the parking lot, exposing herself in full view of the Dunkin Donuts employees. Seeing this, the employees were pointing, laughing, and mocking Barbosa. Barbosa reportedly suffered serious burns to her legs and buttocks as well as nerve damage.
Barbosa is being represented by Kazarian Law.
According to The Patriot Ledger, Barbosa is suing for $100,000 in damages.

So, all the containers were unproperly lidded? Perhaps the employee or the driver were negligent in the transfer of the coffee’s. Strange how this shit only happens to women drivers. Perhaps they should enter the store to get their order.
