Fall River Police arrest two, seize firearm and list of drugs
Fall River Police have arrested two men after seizing a gun and several kinds of drugs Friday.
According to Captain Barden Castro, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Fall River Police Department Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Buffinton Street in Fall River due to a drug investigation.
Detectives while searching the home, recovered a Walther P22, .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol reportedly belonging to 27-year-old David Verdieu.
Verdieu does not have a Massachusetts firearms license allowing him to possess the firearm, according to police.
Also recovered from the home were suspected illegal narcotics in the possession of 37-year-old Kirk Howe.
Suspected drugs seized from the home include crack cocaine, fentanyl, clonazepam, alprazolam, and gabapentin.
David Verdieu was charged with Firearm without FID Card, Possess Ammunition without FID Card, and Possess Firearm Violation with 1 Prior Violent/Drug Crime.
Kirk D. Howe was arrested on charges of Drug, Possess to Distribute Class A, Drug, Possess to Distribute Class B, Subsequent Offense, Drug Possession Class C, (2) Drug Possession Class E, and License Suspended/Revoked, Operating MV without a License.
