State Representative Carole Fiola nominates Fall River man for Massachusetts 2021 Black Excellence Award
Fall River, MA (February 24, 2021) – State Representative Carole Fiola has nominated Fall River’s Bobby Bailey for the Massachusetts Black & Latino Legislative Caucus’ 2021 Black Excellence Award.
Bobby currently serves as the Minority Outreach Coordinator for the City of Fall River. In this capacity, he assesses and identifies unmet minority needs in the city and works with organizations to better address their needs. In doing so, he develops strategies to address and meet the needs of these populations and ensures that people of color have fair and equal access, inclusion, and community resources.
Bailey, a standout high school and college athlete and leader who served on the NCAA Leadership Committee, also spent time working in communications with the Los Angeles Rams. He strongly believes in giving back to his community.
Representative Fiola commented, “As a Gateway City, Fall River is home to people of many different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Having individuals like Bobby here in Fall River who serve to ensure equity and access to resources is critical. Mr. Bobby Bailey is an inspirational role model for the many ‘kids like him’ who are growing up in Fall River and see a path to excellence.”
