Police investigating after man shot at multiple times while driving on highway
Providence police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on a local highway.
According to scanner transmissions, on Friday just after 9:30 p.m., a man was shot on I-95 near the Thurbers Avenue exit.
The victim was reportedly shot in the face, but was able to drive himself to the lower part of Rutherglen Avenue where he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
According to WPRI 12 News, the victim said he was shot at between 9 to 10 times and was caught in the middle of two vehicles that were shooting at each other.
